The musical genre I have chosen to base my magazine on is indie music. Insperations for this being NME and Q. The reason I have chosen this pacific genre of music to base my magazine on, aswell as the magazines to get insperation for my own magazine because this style of music is very popular to people in my target audience's age range right now. Due to this, it makes it very easy to get ideas and information I need for my magazine.
Also, the indie scene is very popular right now, especially with programmes such as Skins becoming increasingly popular as well as indie style of clothes, especially as a lot of famous people are to wearing these styles of clothes and living an 'indie scene' lifestyle . Due to this, I will have not just have musical themed things to include in my magazine, but also things from other genres like celebritys and TV features.
